About

Steven S. Walsky’s writings have been described as a ‘voice of the urban South’ flavored by his travels; ‘a painter with words’.

The name of this blog is taken from the title of his novel Simplicity Lane; “Lethal greed exists in places goodness is ignorant of.”   A FREE download of which is available through Smashwords.

His flash fiction ranges from serious views of life to pure whimsy.  Some of the short stories are adapted from his novel Through a Stranger’s Eyes, a story of finding love anew, and being the man she deserves, desires; the novel is available through Smashwords.

Résumé for Love is a FREE collection of eleven short stories (flash fiction) about relationships and love from both the male and female perspective.  The stories range from serious to pure whimsy.  We observe first meetings, go on dates, and witness love anew; as we delve into what makes relationships truly meaningful and lasting.  A FREE download of which is available through Smashwords.

Steve’s poetry is primarily free verse and free form.   A selection of poems can also be found on several sites, to include: PoemHunter.Com (screen name Steven S. Walsky): http://www.poemhunter.com/

Steve has another WordPress blog, Words to Love By, inspirational thoughts on life and love as a Christian; where he posts inspirational quotes, poems, and his photography.

    • You’re welcome; nice post. It always amazes me how much a woman can fit inside her handbag, regardless of its size; seems to defy the laws of physics.

  1. Steve,
Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog and like it. My son’s girlfriend has written some flash fiction which I really enjoyed (she writes at The Humble Inquisitor). I look forward to reading more of yours.

  2. Thanks for visiting my blog and liking it. You have a great site here, I started reading your novel and also went to your other blog. Both are wonderful. I will follow you and finish reading your novel as well. Thank you for sharing.

    • Maddie, congratulations on all of the awards, well deserved! And thank you for nominating Simplicity Lane for the Reader Appreciation Award. Steve

  3. Dear Steve, thanks so much for stopping by my blog and spending so much time looking at (and “liking”) my posts. I’m glad you enjoyed them! I’m a writer, too, and look forward to seeing more of what you’re posting here about your work. All the best to you in all your endeavors. I’ll be seeing you here again. -Jennifer

    • You’re very welcome Jennifer. I’m glad that you used ‘Fredericksburg’ as a tag; it caught my attention as I live in the area. And thanks for stopping by.

      • It’s a great area. I enjoyed visiting very much and I’m guessing it’s nice to live there as well. I hope you get to try out the Griffin – if you don’t know it already, that is. I have a feeling they’re definitely writer-friendly. 🙂

  5. Nice of you to drop by… Appreciated it very much. You have a nice blog… Good essays I see. Looking forward to reading more of your insights. Cheers!

  6. Hello! I was wondering where you sourced the picture of 700 N Eutaw Street. That happens to be the space into which my business is moving. I’d like to use that shot on my blog but wanted to make sure to ask permission. Thanks!

      • You’re very welcome. Hope all goes well with the new business…of course whenever I drive by the building it will still be my imaginary 1970s ‘LaFirehouse’ restaurant 🙂
